Feeling Good in Cape Town🇿🇦

Feeling Good in Cape Town🇿🇦

Last travel post-I think?

Our last two days in Cape Town included more wineries, driving along the spectacular coastline, and learning about the city’s history while riding a hop-on/hop-off bus:

…But of course what I really want to talk about is Table Mountain! On Thursday we were up with the sun  to drive to the trailhead for Platteklip Gorge-one of the many steep hiking routes to the top of the 3563’ mountain.

We’ve done gorge hiking before-they’re half hike/half scramble as the wind screams down from the summit. Over two hours, we ascended 2457’ and Mr. New-Bee had to listen to me grumble about the wind through most of it:

The views from the top of Table Mountain, like Lion’s Head, are sensational 360-degree vistas of Cape Town and the surrounding coastline.

We won’t soon forget this punishing-but-thrilling trudge up Cape Town’s beloved mountain. The bonus is-you can save your knees by riding cable cars back down, and contemplate your time in beautiful South Africa.

We’re back home now, and I’m looking forward to getting back into The Ranch! There will be product updates soon-until then, here’s a few more snaps:
